Sunday night was an amazing time of worship in Church and very encouraging to me. Every 4th Sunday in my church we do a thing where people can call out their favorite hymns and we'll just spend the time praising God and having a great time singing His praise. The pastor was directing the music, and in one of the songs we were playing there was a note that needed to be held out, and when we came to that note, he held it, and then he turned to us trumpet players, grinning, and held it out longer, and longer, and even longer still! We had to hold that one note out for some time. It was very good timing on his part. After the song was over we all had a great laugh, then the pastor said that the reason we miss out on a blessing is because we sometimes fail to hold on to Jesus long enough to receive a blessing.
God's will is always for our good and for His glory, and He has designed every trial that we go through to bring us closer to Him.
I'm currently out of a job and not eligible for unemployment. Right now my source of monetary income is ZERO. I don't know what I'm going to do for a job, but God has one in mind for me, and I will trust in Him to direct my steps, because I am acknowledging Him.
I must learn to use the time wisely! Practice my trumpet for an hour? That's a good use of my time. Spend the morning filling out applications and looking for work? Also a good use of time.
