God calls things that are not as if they were.

I am so thankful for this promise. I would like to be a trumpet player, but I am not very good, but God calls me as if I were. I want to be a godly man but I am not even close to being a spiritual person. But by God I am justified, [just as if I'd] never sinned.

I just read in 2 Samuel some promises that God gives to every believer. chapter 22.

verse 28 "And the afflicted people thou wilt save: but thine eyes are upon the haughty, that thou mayest bring them down."

verse 31 "As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him."

verse 32 "For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God?"
